A team of electrical engineering students at SSU has been working on an industrial project for Cisco Systems, Inc. for more than a year. The project involved designing, creating schematics, and programming an electronic board.
Although the pandemic has disrupted learning, students in ES 104 were able to continue their learning with the help of exclusive Makerspace kits sent to their homes.

Over the summer the engineering students at Sonoma State University officially registered the IEEE Student Branch. The purpose of this newly established Branch is to provide student members unique opportunities to meet and learn from fellow IEEE student and graduate student members.
This semester the Engineering Department offered two online soldering workshops for freshmen and sophomore students. For this workshop individual students purchased their own Practice Soldering Kit with Soldering Iron.
Engineering Science student Jordan Johnston has received Technical Award with a cash prize in the student poster competition at 2020 IEEE Global Humanitarian Technology Conference (GHTC).
