The engineering department at Sonoma State University hosted a reunion for the students who attended its first Engineering Summer Camp. Students took opportunity of the reunion to showcase the additional projects they accomplished with the knowledge and experience they gained from attending the Summer Camp. Some of the projects include a robotic arm that opens and closes a door on demand, an audio-visual musical notes demonstration machine and a robotic cat that mimics real cat behavior. In addition to the demonstrations, the attendees were awarded with soldering irons courtesy of the Engineering Department. The students were also invited to participate in a short fun soldering activity, where they created a "resistor man" sculpture using some simple electronic components and soldering skills. The students were deeply engaged in the process and were impressed by the final products! The students reiterated how much they benefited from the Summer Camp and their wish for it to become a regular annual event. Thanks to all the volunteers who helped organize and host the reunion.
