Global City Teams Challenge 2019

Two engineering graduate students, Saumya Saxena and Geoff Thomas, from Sonoma State University participated in Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC) to present their project at the 2019 GCTC Expo held in Washington DC, July 10 - 12, 2019. The GCTC was launched by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to encourage collaboration among representatives from U.S. cities and states, private companies, non-profits, universities and hospitals. Sonoma State University is an active member of the Education Action Clusters. The project presented by Saumya and Geoff, is a collaboration between the Electrical Engineering Department at SSU and the City of Rohnert Park called FiRe (First Responder Emergency Assistant). Please join us to congratulate Saumya and Geoff for their great presentations. Many thanks to Professor Shivakumar Mathapathi for leading this project.
