A link with local industry in the form of an Electrical Engineering Industry Advisory Board (EIAB) is an independent body from the department faculty and an integral part of the engineering program. This advisory board is critical to ensure that the program meets local community needs while achieving its mission to educate the next-generation world-class engineers.
The EIAB provides the program with valuable input regarding the new scientific and technological developments and educational needs of the industry. It also facilitates internship opportunities for students, advises on curricular issues to ensure courses remain relevant to practicing electrical engineers, provides updates to faculty and students with information on industry practices, and assists in the placement of our graduates.
