Engineering Students Showcase Summer Research at SSU Poster Symposium
On Friday, August 28, 2026, three teams of Sonoma State University Engineering students presented their summer research projects at the Summer Research Poster Symposium in the Darwin Hall Lobby.
The symposium brought together student researchers from the Engineering Department and the MESA program to share the STEM projects they worked on throughout the summer. The event gave students an opportunity to present their work, explain their designs and research findings, and discuss the challenges they encountered during their projects.
For the Engineering students, the symposium was also an important opportunity to communicate their work with a broader audience. They interacted with other students, faculty, and staff members, answered questions about their projects, and gained valuable experience presenting technical work outside of the classroom and laboratory.
The three Engineering research teams represented a range of hands-on summer projects involving design, testing, problem solving, and real-world implementation.
