Celebrating the Engineering Graduating Class of 2026

The Engineering Department at Sonoma State University is proud to celebrate the graduation of the Class of 2026. This year, approximately 22 undergraduate students and 4 graduate students completed their degrees, marking an important milestone after years of dedication, perseverance, and hard work.

Engineering at Sonoma State is built around a rigorous four-year educational experience that combines strong theoretical foundations with hands-on learning, teamwork, and real-world problem solving. One of the defining highlights of the program is the Senior Design Project sequence, where students work in teams to design, build, test, and present innovative engineering solutions. The Senior Design experience gives students the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills they developed throughout the program while addressing practical engineering challenges.

Throughout the year, many student teams also participated in research activities, engineering competitions, technical demonstrations, and the university’s Science Symposium, showcasing their creativity, technical abilities, and commitment to innovation. These experiences reflect the department’s emphasis on experiential learning and collaboration.

The department is extremely proud of the accomplishments of the graduating students and grateful for the dedication they demonstrated throughout their academic journey. Faculty, staff, alumni, family members, and industry supporters joined in celebrating the students’ achievements and the successful completion of their projects during the 2026 Senior Design presentations.

We congratulate all of our graduates and wish them tremendous success in their future careers, graduate studies, and professional endeavors. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make in engineering, technology, research, and their communities.
