Engineering Students Shine at the 2025 Science Symposium

Ten Electrical Engineering student teams exhibited their exceptional projects at the 2025 Science Symposium that took place on Monday, April 28, at Sonoma State University. Each project was a true testament to the talent, innovation, and hard work of our students.

We are especially proud to recognize the outstanding achievements of two teams who earned top honors at this year’s symposium:

Ongaro Green Science Award Recipients:

  • Bastien Favie and Eriberto Salgado – Submersible ROV for Offshore Structure Inspection
  • Chris Campbell, Josh Lyman, and Charlie Sterling – Remote Soil Moisture Monitoring

Their dedication and ingenuity earned them first and third place, respectively, for this prestigious award.

These accomplishments not only reflect the remarkable skills and perseverance of our students but also highlight the important contributions they are making to innovation and sustainability within our community. We are immensely proud of their achievements and look forward to witnessing their continued success in their academic and professional journeys.
