ParticleAir is designed to provide a low cost solution to air pollution measurements to help bring awarness to the community aswell as provide learning opportunities. The development team has been testing the system on the Sonoma State University Campus.

Our goal is to develop the air quality system and improving upon other existing systems, while adding our own specified sensors, and improving the design. This project, we design, test, develop, and implement Particle Air which is an air quality monitoring system that can be easily placed within the community of Rohnert Park. The end result will give us a low-cost bench that will be able to be implements in areas of high traffic and obtain real-time data with accurate measurements of the air that we breath aswell as provide a better understanding of airquality and its impact on society. The key features of the Particle Air system will be aquiring measuring the concentrations of PM10 particles (particles with a diameter 2.5-10 microns-- pollen, mold spores, dust, etc., CO2, ozono, temperature, and humidity within the Sonoma County. ParticleAir aim to provide a low cost airquality system that can provide a similar purpose compared to a much more expensive system.
