Summer Research Experience For High School Students

The Engineering Department at SSU is committed to mentoring the next generation of engineers and encouraging a diverse STEM workforce. The EE program continues to hosts many high school students each summer. Mentored by the engineering Faculty and students, participants are given the opportunity to work in one of the Research Laboratories and learn about exciting projects.

Students who may be interested in this program should review the Senior Design Projects and provide a one-page letter of interest addressing the following questions, briefly:

  • Which project is interesting to you and why?
  • Why are you interested in the engineering summer research at SSU?
  • Which Research Lab would you like to work with and why?

Please submit your questions or the the letter of interest to Engineering before May 10th.
