The objectives of this project is to design a wireless enable and modular system that can monitor condition of its surrounding and relay that data to an end user. A system such as this is applicable for general purpose, to measure real time status of pavement condition. The application for this system is beneficial for the safety of daily commuters, for the durability of tires and safety of the drivers. This system will consist of two nodes: (1) a sensor node that is placed into a car to gather data and (2) wireless enable central base station, which collects sensor data from the nodes to be viewed by the user.
